Frequently asked questions.
Is what I share held in confidence?
Yes, what you share will be held in confidence. There are 3 limits to confidentiality: (1) if you have a clear plan of harming yourself or somebody else (2) if a child is at risk of being harmed, (3) if my records get subpoenaed by a court
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations are accepted up to 48 hours before the scheduled appointment otherwise full fees apply. Exceptions made for emergencies, of course.
How often do I come for sessions?
This depends. We’ll work out frequency together based on your specific needs.
Where is your office located?
I provide counselling virtually/online, by phone or in-person. My Vancouver office, at 119 W Pender St, is conveniently located near Stadium Skytrain Station. It’s accessible by major bus routes.
What ages and demographics do you work with?
My practice is diverse & inclusive. I work primarily with individuals (ages 16+). I offer family/parent sessions focusing on illness in the family. I offer short-term support to children, parallel to family/parental support, focusing on serious illness and/or grief.
What days and times are you available?
I offer daytime sessions on Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays
What are your COVID-19 procedures?
Due to the pandemic, the majority of my sessions will be held virtually. When in-person I follow provincial health standards and recommendations, as they continue to evolve. Sanitizing practices will be followed as well as physical distancing. If masking is your preference, I’m happy to do so.
